de Havilland Canada
Canada Est. 1928
If it flies in the Canadian wilderness, de Havilland Canada probably built it. The Beaver and Otter defined bush flying, and the Twin Otter proved you could land a turboprop on just about anything.
Heritage
Originally a subsidiary of the British de Havilland, the Canadian operation carved out its own identity by building aircraft for the harshest conditions on earth. Short takeoff, floats, skis, gravel strips. The DHC-2 Beaver is considered one of the greatest utility aircraft ever designed. The lineage continues through Viking Air and De Havilland Aircraft of Canada.
