General Dynamics

USA Est. 1952

General Dynamics built the F-16 Fighting Falcon — the most successful fighter jet in history by production numbers. Over 4,600 built, serving 25+ nations. The company sold its fighter division to Lockheed in 1993, but the Viper flies on.

Heritage

From the F-111 Aardvark to the F-16, General Dynamics pushed the boundaries of combat aircraft design. The lightweight fighter competition that produced the F-16 proved that smaller, nimbler, and cheaper could beat bigger and more expensive.
