Curtiss-Wright

USA Est. 1929 1948 (aircraft division)

Glenn Curtiss was the Wright Brothers' greatest rival. His company built the P-40 Warhawk — the shark-mouthed fighter of the Flying Tigers — and trained more WWII pilots than any other manufacturer.

Heritage

The P-40 wasn't the best fighter of WWII, but it was available when America needed aircraft. The Flying Tigers made it famous. Claire Chennault's pilots painted those shark mouths and fought the Japanese to a standstill.
